What is an Open Door Respray?
An Open Door Respray is considered a full respray, as it involves painting the entire vehicle, including the exterior and the interior edges such as door jambs, frames, and sills. This method ensures a seamless colour change with no visible traces of the original paint when the doors are opened, providing a consistent, flawless finish across the vehicle.
What is a Closed Door Respray?
A Closed Door Respray focuses only on the visible exterior surfaces of the car, excluding areas like the inner door frames and edges. While this approach is suitable for refreshing the car’s outer appearance, it is not ideal for colour change respray projects. Since the inner areas are not painted, the original paint will still be visible when the doors are opened, leading to an inconsistent look. For a true, uniform colour change, a full Open Door Respray is recommended.

“Only complaint is that there’s not enough Francesco and his team around. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My car was broken into, not only did they smash my window, they’d tried using a crowbar or some sort to pry open the door leaving damages to the roof and inner panels. Initially it looked like a simple repair job, instead, Francesco and the team replaced everything with brand new and genuine parts because he wasn’t able to accept any defects at the end of the job. Every seam and glass were replaced with only new and genuine parts. Colour matching paint mix etc. It felt like a brand new car on completion. The attention to details is immaculate and the service is 110%. We do not offer vinyl car wrap installations, and do not recommend car wraps to our clients. Vinyl wraps are less durable than paint, difficult to clean and maintain, and are challenging to remove without damaging the original paint underneath. If you decide to change the colour temporarily, you could face significant costs to repair any paintwork once the wrap is removed. For a quality long-term solution, we suggest considering a full respray for greater durability and ease of maintenance.
We do not offer interior customisations such as seat belts and upholstery, however there are speacialised businesses in Perth that can help you.
Damage to your customised car may be covered under insurance, but this depends on your policy and the type of modifications made. Insurers like Shannons offer coverage for legal modifications you declare, provided they are included in the agreed value of the vehicle. It’s essential to inform your insurer about any customisation to ensure proper coverage. If modifications aren't declared, your claim may be denied. Always check your policy or consult with your insurer to confirm coverage of your customisation.

After a respray, it’s crucial to let the paint fully harden before washing your car. Although the paint is baked in our commercial spray booth to accelerate curing, it still needs time to achieve optimal durability.
We recommend waiting at least two weeks before washing, waxing, or exposing your vehicle to harsh conditions, as these could compromise the fresh paint. For best results, opt for hand washing instead of automatic car washes, which can be abrasive.

For custom colours, we recommend House of Kolor. This premium brand offers a stunning array of finishes, including candy colours, metallics, and colour-shifting effects, allowing for a truly unique and personalised result.
We strongly discourage relying on online DIY guides or directories that provide vague price ranges, such as $400-$700 per panel or fixed costs for a full respray. These figures are often outdated and in no way remotely accurate, leading to disappointment and frustration when the actual costs do not align with expectations.

It’s difficult to provide a price without understanding the specifics of your vehicle and its condition.
